2.6Uncasing/Casing Areas

For PCCs only, if there is not a sufficient length of side berm to safely serve as an uncasing/casing area, then the match director must identify and designate a suitable area.

For PCCs only, checking if optic is on/off, removing optic cover, and turning optic on/off may be done at casing/uncasing area provided the PCC is flagged and the muzzle remains in a safe direction. All other gun handling with the PCC, e.g., cleaning, dry-fire, repairs, etc., must be accomplished in a Safety Area or under the direct supervision of a Range Officer. Competitors found in violation of this rule are subject to the provisions of 10.5.19.
